Apto. Palito began with a clear decision: opening the kitchen to the heart of the home. The renovation aimed to connect the daytime spaces and make circulation clearer, so the entrance, living area, and kitchen could work as one.
The existing home had a rigid layout, with rooms kept apart. Our proposal frees the kitchen and places it as the element that organises daily life. From there, we shape a continuous space that separates social and private areas, without adding more partitions.
Materials were chosen with a simple idea: everything should be clear, and built to last. Light surfaces, integrated joinery, and neutral tones reinforce continuity, and natural light completes the sense of order.
The flexible room is conceived as a place that doesn’t impose a single use: it can be a home gym, a reading room, or a painting studio. A space to be in, without haste.
